Dr. Christopher Savoie is a world recognized technology luminary who was named by MIT's Technology Review Magazine as one of the original TR100, a list of top technology innovators to watch in the 21st century. Christopher received his doctorate in medicine from the renowned Faculty of Medicine of Kyushu University, one of Japan's elite national medical schools, where he was the first foreign-born Ikueikai First Class scholar. At Kyushu, he pioneered the use of mass spectrometry in comparative MHC peptide proteomics and received an award for his pioneering work on immunoinformatics at PSB (the Pacific Symposium on Biocomputing). In addition, Dr. Savoie has extensive experience in global executive management at technology companies in both Japan and Silicon Valley. He previously established one of the fist web design companies in Japan and went on to found Dejima, a Silicon Valley based software company. During his tenure as Chairman and CEO, Dejima grew to become a global telecommunications software company with offices and Fortune 500 customers in the US, Japan and Europe. Based on his expertise in medicine, information technology and global management, Christopher founded Gene Networks, Inc. with his former colleagues in medicine and genomics, to capitalize on the convergence of computational modeling and drug development. He is author of several US and Japanese patents and is a member of the Japanese Immunological Society, the Japanese Cancer Society and the International Society of Computational Biology. Dr. Savoie is a frequent guest lecturer at Stanford University's Graduate School of Business. |
